Business analytics in brief

Business analytics uses data to make better business decisions: which market to enter, how to price a product, where to cut costs, which customers to keep. It sits between the business and the data team. A business analyst frames the problem, finds and analyses the right data, and turns the answer into a recommendation managers can act on.

Compared with a pure data analytics course, this one spends more time on the business side: KPIs and frameworks, forecasting and what-if scenarios, requirement gathering and documentation, and presenting a recommendation. You still learn the tools hands-on (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau and a little Python), but always in service of a decision.

Data science vs data analytics vs business analytics

The three fields share tools and are often confused in job titles. The simplest way to tell them apart is by the question each one answers.

Which should you choose? If you are new to data, start with Data Analytics: it is the foundation the other two build on. Choose Business Analytics if you enjoy the business side and want to influence decisions. Choose Data Science if you like programming and maths and want to build predictive models.

Why business analytics skills matter in Delhi NCR

Delhi NCR is spread across Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad. Gurugram's Cyber City and Golf Course Road host consulting, GCC and startup offices; Noida and Greater Noida have large IT campuses; and Delhi itself has government, policy and education employers. Consumer internet, e-commerce and consulting firms drive strong analyst and developer demand.

Who hires in Delhi NCR

  • Consulting and GCCs

Gurugram's Cyber City and Golf Course Road host consulting firms and GCCs with large analytics teams.
  • IT services

Noida and Greater Noida campuses that hire freshers for development and data roles.
  • Consumer internet and e-commerce

Food delivery, travel, edtech and e-commerce companies with engineering and analytics teams.
  • Government and policy

Public-sector projects, policy research organisations and NGOs that need data and web skills.

Local context you will work with

Generic courses use generic datasets, and interviewers notice. Our exercises include:

  • Datasets in Indian formats: ₹ with lakh/crore grouping, PIN codes and GSTINs
  • Open government data from data.gov.in
  • Hindi text in multilingual NLP and UI exercises
  • UPI and payment-gateway flows tested in sandbox mode
  • Indian fiscal year (April–March) reporting

How to choose the right Business Analytics track

Your backgroundStart withWhy
MBA / BBA / commerce graduateFull courseBusiness sense is the core skill here
Working manager or team leadWeekend trackLearn to commission and challenge analysis, not just read it
Data analystForecasting and business-analysis modulesMove from building reports to making recommendations
Engineer moving to business rolesFull courseAdd business framing to your analytical skills
Wants to build ML modelsData Science courseThat course goes much deeper into machine learning

Common pairings: Business Analytics + Data Analytics (for deeper SQL and BI skills), Business Analytics + SAP FICO or MM (for ERP-focused business analyst roles), and Business Analytics + Data Science (to add predictive modelling). Learn one course well before adding a second.

From course to first role: a realistic path

  1. Master the business and data foundations before moving on.

  2. Build and publish your projects, including the Delhi NCR capstone.

  3. Apply for entry roles such as business analyst or business intelligence analyst with employers like the consulting and gccs above.

Honest note: freshers usually start in junior or trainee roles, and salaries in Delhi NCR vary too widely for a headline figure. Ask us which openings we are seeing.

Business Analytics certification: what we cover and what we issue

Relevant optional certifications include the IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) and Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) for business-analysis practice, and Microsoft PL-300 for Power BI. They are paid directly to IIBA or Microsoft and are not part of our fee; the course covers the relevant knowledge areas. SoftPro9 issues a course completion certificate.

What to check before choosing a Business Analytics institute in Delhi NCR

  • A 2026 syllabus: look for Google Sheets, Looker Studio, Jira, Confluence, not only the basics.

  • Projects on your own accounts, a trainer you can meet first, and a published fee with nothing hidden.

  • No "global certification" or "100% placement" claims: vendors run their own exams, and nobody can promise a job.

How our Business Analytics classes work

  • Taught from Bangalore

Classes are taught live by the same trainers who teach our Bangalore classroom, streamed to Delhi NCR in IST.
  • Live, with recordings and reviews

Live sessions in IST, recordings for revision, and project reviews from the trainer. Excel, Power BI, Tableau Public, a cloud SQL database and business case datasets.
  • Interview preparation

Mock interviews, resume reviews and referrals to Delhi NCR and remote openings we hear about. We do not guarantee a job.

Business Analytics training in Delhi NCR: frequently asked questions

How much does Business Analytics training cost in Delhi NCR?

The current training fee is listed on the Business Analytics course page: /course/business-analytics-courses. It covers live classes, the practice environment, projects and interview preparation. Any IIBA or Microsoft PL-300 exam is optional, not included, and paid directly to the exam provider.

Is Business Analytics the same as being a Business Analyst?

They overlap. Business analytics is about using data for decisions; a business analyst role also includes gathering requirements and documenting processes. This course covers both.

Do I need coding?

Very little. Excel, SQL and Power BI do most of the work; Python is introduced only for forecasting and automation.

Is this suitable for MBA students?

Yes. It is designed to complement an MBA with hands-on tools and real case studies.

Which jobs can I apply for?

Business analyst, BI analyst, strategy or product analyst, and operations analyst roles. Freshers often start as junior or associate analysts.

Is there a Delhi or Gurugram classroom?

No. NCR learners join live online batches taught from Bangalore, with recordings and a 15-learner cap.

Do you prepare for consulting-style case interviews?

For Data Analytics, yes: SQL tests, Excel tasks and a presentation round are part of mock interviews.

When does the next batch start?

New Business Analytics batches start every Monday and Thursday. See the batch table on this page for the next dates and IST class slots.

Do you guarantee placement?

No. We provide interview preparation, resume help and referrals to openings we hear about in Delhi NCR, but no institute can honestly guarantee a job.
