Data analytics turns raw business data into answers people can act on: which products are slowing, where costs are leaking, how a campaign performed. Analysts pull data with SQL, clean and model it, build dashboards in Power BI or Tableau, and explain the findings to managers.
Almost every company has data and too few people who can read it, which is why analyst roles exist in every industry, not just tech. You do not need a coding background: the course starts with Excel and builds up to SQL, Power BI with DAX, Tableau and Python for automation.
The three fields share tools and are often confused in job titles. The simplest way to tell them apart is by the question each one answers.

Which should you choose? If you are new to data, start with Data Analytics: it is the foundation the other two build on. Choose Business Analytics if you enjoy the business side and want to influence decisions. Choose Data Science if you like programming and maths and want to build predictive models.
